Summer, Kira and Taeus were all over the moon with the new arrival and welcomed her into the family instantly.

 		  

Although everyone played with Anika, Taeus, in particular, took her under his wing as his special girl and taught her everything that he knew. Which, at the tender age of just 5 1/2 months old basically amounted to how to play together with each of the toys! But hey, he felt cool and she was besotted with him and all his worldly ways!!
   
   

And so, it soon became, everywhere that Taeus went, Anika was sure to follow...

As all Sammies know, there is nothing better than a good wrestling match and so Summer, Kira and Taeus soon taught Anika this great skill too!   

Anika does have a gentle side though and loves a cuddle

We took Taeus and Anika to the SBOL Fun Day in 2003 where they had a thoroughly great time. This is Anikas' Pocahontas Outfit that she wore to come second (to Taeus) in the fancy dress competition!
   

Come rain, sun shine or snow, the dogs love to play together in the garden and some of their favourite games include hide and seek, chase and tag...

Sometimes Anika likes to just laze around in the garden too.

Even for Sammies such as Anika, that don't carry a very heavy coat, when they are moulting you still know about it. The photo on the far right, shows all the dead coat that has just been combed out of her. This is only one week after her previous comb through during a moult.   

If you properly and carefully get your Sammie puppy used to being groomed right from the outset, they soon learn to really enjoy the experience and love being groomed. Here you can see Anika waiting patiently on the grooming table for her next comb through. The Polarspirit Sams are all so keen on having a good groom that they often form a queue to be next. It's not always an orderly queue though, often they all start barging in front of each other trying jump the queue to be next!   

Anikas really big passions in life (other than Taeus of course) are rig running and agility. But, as these two subjects both have their own pages on this website, I've put the photos on there rather than on this page.

Here, at Polarspirit, we like to celebrate each of our babies birthdays with a special cake for them to share and a nice present for the birthday girl/boy. Here are a couple of photos from Anika's third birthday, ealier this year.
